On-Campus Access to University of Maryland, College Park (UMCP) Electronic Resources

Using Desktop Computers in Priddy Library

• Login using your USG credentials, or request a Guest Account at the Service Desk if you are not a USG student or employee
• Most UMCP databases, e-journals, and some eBooks will be accessible from these computers
  • Use the University of Maryland College Park Databases link from our Access to Catalog and Web Resource Searching page
  • If you know which journal or database you would like to use, you can go directly to the UMD Database Finder

Using WiFi on Mobile Devices

• Connect to any of the USG campus networks (wired or wireless)
  • For help connecting to the USG secure WiFi network, follow OIT's Wireless Networks instructions
  • If your laptop supports ethernet via USB-C, you can connect to one of our dual-monitor docking stations!
• Access: most UMD databases, e-journals, and some eBooks

On/Off-Campus Access to Non-UMCP Electronic Resources

• Utilize the appropriate link from the Access to Catalog and Web Resource Searching page
• Utilize the search services or databases from your home institution library's site
• When prompted to login, use your home institution credentials

Off-Campus Access to UMCP Electronic Resources

• Only users affiliated with the University of Maryland, College Park may access UMCP electronic resources off-campus
• Follow the On-Campus Access instructions, as above
  • Login with your UMCP credentials when prompted
