Use of the wireless network must follow the Acceptable Use of Computing Resources policy.

For current USG students, faculty, and staff
USG is the secure campus wireless network for students, faculty, and staff affiliated with Universities at Shady Grove.
To connect, you must have an active USG Login ID. You will use these credentials to sign in.
Use USG for secure access to campus wireless and campus resources.

The USG IT Service Desk can help with your USG Login ID and connection issues.
eduroam
For users from participating colleges and universities
Universities at Shady Grove is a service provider for eduroam, a secure wireless network used by higher education institutions worldwide.
If your home institution participates in eduroam, you may be able to connect using your home institution credentials. Contact your home institution’s IT support team if you need help with access or sign-in instructions.
Note: eduroam is available on the first floor of the Shady Grove Garage.

USG-Visitor
For guests and visitors who are not affiliated with USG
USG-Visitor provides temporary wireless access for campus visitors and guests.
Connections to USG-Visitor are automatically disconnected after 60 minutes.
Current USG students, faculty, and staff should use USG instead for a more secure connection and access to campus resources.
