Interlibrary Loan
What is Interlibrary Loan (ILL)?
ILL provides access to materials not available through the University System of Maryland Affiliated Institutions (USMAI) catalog, such as books and chapters, as well as journal articles not available through your home institution library. It is available only to students, faculty, and staff of a given university.
Using ILL requires an ILL account at your home institution library, which you may need to create before you use it for first time.
Be sure to check your home institution's library catalog for availability before submitting requests (links available on our Access to Catalog page)! ILL requests for items available through USMAI may be deleted by ILL staff.

Document Delivery is the general term for providing access to photocopies or scans of non-circulating materials from home campus library, such as physical periodicals, maps, or items in Special Collections and Archives.
Requesting Document Delivery
Like ILL, Document Delivery is covered only by a patron's home institution library. Contact Interlibrary Loan staff at yours for more information on the process.
