The Universities at Shady Grove (USG) is excited to welcome rising high school sophomores through rising high school seniors to our campus to level up their academic and career skills this summer!

What is reachHIRE?

Every summer, the Universities at Shady Grove (USG) Center for Transfer Access hosts a Summer Bridge Program called reachHIRE

The theme, reachHIRE, focuses on "leveling up" in your academic preparation and career exploration. Throughout the week, students participate in activities and workshops that develop skills such as communication, professionalism, and critical thinking. These skills, known as HIRE U Competencies, have been identified as essential for success in today’s workforce. Students engage in interactive skill-based workshops and activities to strengthen these skills throughout the week. Students also have the opportunity to explore bachelor's degree programs and network with professionals to learn about various career options. By participating in reachHIRE throughout the week, students are one step closer to achieving their academic and career goals!

Students complete a tower building challenge at 2023 reachHIRE.       Student participates in Salisbury's Exercise Science Simulation
