Student Course Reserves
What Are Course Reserves?
Course Reserves are library-owned copies of textbooks and required readings for many of the classes being taught at USG. These copies are available for short-term use inside the library.
While we make every attempt to procure copies of all textbooks for USG courses, we cannot guarantee that we will have them for any given class. Please check with library staff if you can't find the title you need!
Accessing and Using Course Reserves
- Located in stack area opposite the Service Desk
- Organized alphabetically by course code
- Open access; no check-out required
- Available for 2 hour in-library use
- We highly recommend using our KIC Bookeye scanners to scan needed sections of the text into PDF format for immediate and later use- Two KIC scanners are located in the library, which can be used to scan multiple pages at once
- For more information, please visit our KIC BookScanner Help Guide

- When you are finished with the text, return it to the table by the course reserves shelves
Accessing E-Reserves
Electronic or "E-reserves" are usually digital versions of texts provided through home campus libraries. They are generally accessed through your course on your university's Learning Management System (LMS) such as Blackboard or ELMS.
In the event that your E-reserve is hosted elsewhere please contact your professor, or consult your syllabus, for details on access.
