How to Renew Borrowed Items

  • Visit your library account, accessible from your home institution's library website (links available on our Access to Catalog and Web Resource Searching).
  • Login to "My Account" or "My Library Card" using your home institution ID and Password.
  • All items you have borrowed will be listed, organized by the library that owns the item.
  • Due date and request renewal availability are indicated for each item.
    • Some items have a maximum number of renewals available.
    • Some items have a maximum loan period, even with renewals.  Once reached, you must return them to a USMAI library.
    • Items requested by other users may have renewals disabled, including Recalled items.
