About Recalls
A "Recall" of library materials is when a borrower's loan is shortened because the item is needed elsewhere. Any item can be Recalled at any time, and it may dramatically shorten your time with an item.
Recalled items:
- Recalled items cannot be renewed, and accrue overdue fines at an accelerated rate
- The library system sends out automated notices for Recalled items
- Automatic communications from the system are sent as a courtesy. Failure to receive or read one does not excuse late returns
- You can always check loan due dates using the "My Account" or "My Library Card" section of your university's library catalog
- Links to all university library websites can be found on our Access to Catalog and Web Resource Searching page
