The Fabrication Shop provides rapid prototyping, advanced manufacturing, and digital design resources to facilitate important research, student projects, and innovation for students and staff of the Shady Grove Campus. The space provides access to various machine tools for those that have gone through the lab-provided safety training, including both additive and subtractive manufacturing technologies.
EQUIPMENT ACCESS
- You can only access equipment you are authorized to use.
- You must complete an online safety training and quiz as well as an in-person orientation before entering makerspace rooms and accessing any equipment.
- Individual equipment authorization trainings are available on Canvas, followed by an in-person assessment.
- Shop and tool authorization test results will be available online.
