Energy Conservation Practices

Buildings 3 and 4 are controlled by a comprehensive centralized building automation system (BAS). This system allows for sophisticated control of large building equipment, lighting and HVAC systems and helps maintain campus sustainability standards. USG has established temperature control setpoints for buildings during occupied periods. These settings maintain a balance between occupant comfort and energy conservation and are consistent with federal and state guidelines.

Heating Season: 71° - 72°

Cooling Season: 75° - 76°

Actual space temperature may fluctuate +/‐ 2° F from set point. To report an occupied room or area that is not within these setpoints, please notify Facilities via the Work Request system or by calling 301-738-6366
