Program Overview

The University of Baltimore (UB) offers the B.S. in Health Management at The Universities at Shady Grove (USG) in a convenient weekend format. This Association of University Programs in Health Administration-certified program is designed to prepare students for professional careers in health systems management. Students with a degree in an allied health field—including nursing, radiology, physical therapy assisting, and others—can build on their clinical experience to transition into management roles.

Students gain an understanding of the interplay of social, political, economic, technological, cultural, and environmental factors that influence health services management and administration. The curriculum includes courses in accounting, health care management, epidemiology, health care law, risk management, health policy, and a variety of upper-level health management courses.

As a UB student at USG, you are entitled to the same benefits as students studying on the home campus. This includes library services, disability support services, tutoring, career advising, student activities and clubs and more. Services are available through USG or UB.
