Program Overview
The Construction Management Technology program is designed to develop a capable and knowledgeable workforce and prepare students for career success in the field of construction. The program focuses on practical aspects of technology, offering a flexible pathway for student success, combining technology transfer measures with practical industrial experience, emphasizing successful project management operations, and Green Building Technology implementation.
The UMES-CMT Program at USG offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management Technology and is accredited by the American Council for Construction Education (ACCE). Students can take introductory qualifying courses at neighboring community colleges or universities and transfer them to the CMT program to complement core construction and management courses offered at the USG campus.
CMT enjoys the support of an Industry-Academia Advisory Board in developing the most suitable training program to accommodate today's industry requirements. All CMT students must have a minimum of two summer internship sessions to satisfy their practical experience in the field of construction.
Admission Requirements
- At least 56 qualifying credits before transfer
- Maximum of 70 community college credits may transfer
- Minimum 2.0 GPA for transfer credits
- Minimum grade of "C" for each transferred course
